Quick facts

  • The GST cluster admission system covers 19 public universities for the 2025-26 session, per Prothom Alo.

  • GST 2025-26 exam units are scheduled for 27 March (Commerce), 3 April (Humanities), and 10 April 2026 (Science).

If you're checking a GST cluster admission result, the first thing to confirm is whether your university is actually part of GST this year - the list changes from session to session.

Direct answer

GST (General, Science & Technology) cluster admission covers 19 public universities for the 2025-26 session, as confirmed by Prothom Alo as of 10 September 2026 - primarily newer general and science-technology universities, not the major public universities. Results and merit positions are published at gstadmission.ac.bd after each unit's exam, per Prothom Alo's reporting.

Is GST the same as National University or Dhaka University?

GST stands for General, Science & Technology - a single combined admission test that a group of public universities uses instead of each running its own exam. It is not the same as National University, and it does not include every public university in Bangladesh.

For the 2025-26 session, five universities that have participated in GST in past years are sitting outside it, per Prothom Alo: Jagannath University, Hajji Danesh Science & Technology University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Cumilla University, and Khulna University. Dhaka University, Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, and Jahangirnagar University have also never been part of GST and run entirely separate admissions - see RU/CU/KU/JU Admission Result 2026 and DU Admission Result 2026 for those.

Before assuming your target university is in GST, check the current university list at gstadmission.ac.bd - the participating list is confirmed to change between sessions, so don't rely on a previous year's list.
