About Dhaka Board

Dhaka Board is one of Bangladesh's 11 education boards - nine general boards (including Dhaka) plus the separate Madrasah and Technical boards. Your board is determined by the location of the institution where you sat your exams, not your home district - check your admit card or registration card if you're unsure.

Dhaka Board is the oldest of the group, established on 7 May 1921 on the recommendation of the Sadler Commission - decades before Bangladesh's independence. It's also the largest by jurisdiction, covering 13 districts across Dhaka Division. If your institution sits in any of these, Dhaka Board is your board:

• Dhaka
• Faridpur
• Gazipur
• Gopalganj
• Kishoreganj
• Madaripur
• Manikganj
• Munshiganj
• Narayanganj
• Narsingdi
• Rajbari
• Shariatpur
• Tangail

The same board also conducts the SSC (Secondary School Certificate) examination for these districts, using the same office and, during results season, the same central portal - so everything on this page about the HSC checking process applies to SSC results too, just with "SSC" selected instead of "HSC" in the Examination field.
