About Technical Board

The Bangladesh Technical Education Board administers HSC (Vocational) and HSC (Business Management) examinations - HSC-equivalent qualifications for technical and vocational students, published through the central portal under the relevant examination type.

Like Madrasah Board, BTEB has nationwide jurisdiction rather than a district territory. It was formed on 1 June 1969 and, beyond the HSC-level exams, also sets curricula and conducts examinations for SSC (Vocational) and 4-year diploma programs in engineering, agriculture, and medical technology, across hundreds of affiliated public and private polytechnics and institutes nationwide. BTEB's affiliated institutions span several categories:

• Public and private engineering polytechnics
• Agriculture institutes
• Fisheries institutes
• Livestock institutes
• Marine technology institutes
• Vocational schools

Because the exam name varies (HSC Vocational vs. HSC Business Management vs. Diploma-level exams), double-check which one matches your admit card before selecting it on the central portal - picking the wrong exam type is a common reason technical students can't find their result on the first try.
